q&AfabricAre you considering making changes to your smile and you think that the benefits of dental bonding will help you reach the finish line? If so, all of your confidence in those advantages may not be enough to satisfy your need for essential knowledge. Before you agree to the treatment, we suggest that you schedule a visit with us, so we may fill you in on the details and make sure bonding is best for you. In the meantime, take a gander at a few helpful questions (and answers) for educational facts.

Questions and Answers: Dental Bonding

Question: Who qualifies for dental bonding?

Answer: You may qualify for bonding if you are looking for a way to address minor cosmetic issues with your teeth. These types of issues include small chips or cracks, individual stains or independently stained teeth, teeth that require additional length to improve smile uniformity, and filling spaces between teeth. In addition, you will need to have a clean bill of oral health to qualify.

Question: What if I want to use dental bonding for tooth shape but I also want to choose teeth whitening for my entire smile? May I bleach my teeth after bonding?

Answer: No, you will not be able to whiten your smile with teeth whitening after bonding. Instead, we suggest that you whiten your smile first and then choose bonding, so we may match the composite material to your new smile shade.

Question: Is dental bonding going to be uncomfortable at all?

Answer: No. We will simply add a synthetic acrylic resin material (composite) to your tooth or teeth, set the material, and then polish it. This is a noninvasive, quick procedure that is completely comfortable.
